Einfahrt Arosa

The Swiss O Week 2021 takes place in the southeastern part of Switzerland in the canton of Graub√ľnden. Arosa is only 50 minutes by car from Chur and about 2 hours from Zurich. Whether taking the winding road with your own car or by leisurely ride on the Rhaetian Railway - both options have their charms.

By Rail

Travel to Arosa in a sustainable way and chose the option public transport. Take the SBB to Chur (direct connections from Basel/Zurich and St. Gallen) and then change to the Rhaetian Railway to Arosa (1 hour). 


By Car

Motorway A3 (from western and north-western Switzerland) or motorway A13 (from eastern Switzerland) to Chur; then via the cantonal road to Arosa. From Chur it takes approx. 50 minutes on a winding uphill road. The Schanfiggerstrasse meanders through the valley counting around 365 curves and thus overcomes an altitude difference of 1'320m over 30km. 

In the interest of the village image, the municipality of Arosa has removed signposting. It is replaced by a general parking ban; parking in the village of Arosa is only permitted in marked parking areas. There is also a general night driving ban from 24:00 - 06:00, which applies to the entire village of Arosa (fraction of the municipality of Arosa). There are exceptions for public services and taxis. However, direct access from and to Arosa is permitted.

Travel by air

Via Zurich: Arosa can be reached from Zurich Airport by car in approx. 2 1/2 hours and by train in approx. 2 3/4 hours.


The parking spaces in Arosa are managed by the municipality. With a few exceptions, you can use the SEPP App ( to pay parking fees.


Travel to the competitions

The local bus in Arosa is part of the all-inclusive offer and therefore free for the participants of the SOW 2021. There is no parking for the ccompetitors at the competition centres of the stages.
