The first stage, 'La Foilleuse', is a long-distance race. The second stage, 'Plaine Dranse', is also a long-distance event. The third stage, 'Col de Chésery', is a middle-distance competition. After the rest day, the fourth stage, 'Portes du Soleil', is an extended middle-distance competition. The fifth stage, in Avoriaz, consists of a combination of a sprint and a middle-distance race. The final stage, 'Super Châtel', is a shortened middle-distance race.
