10.07.2026 - Volunteers wanted for a tracking experiment
As part of their training, apprentices studying computer science and commercial studies at Identitas AG in Bern have carried out several IT projects designed to meet the specific needs of Swiss O Week. The apprentices would now like to take this a step further by conducting a field experiment related to orienteering. To this end, volunteers from the D18 and H18 age categories are now being sought.
The apprentices are testing a new tracker to determine the position of runners during their race. Up to 20 volunteers are needed to wear an armband containing a small tracker (weighing just a few grams) while running. The armband, including the tracker, will be collected at the start of Stages 3 and 4 and returned at the finish line.
