15.07.2026 - Important information about stage 5
Dear runners,
Unfortunately, the 5th stage in Avoriaz, scheduled for Friday, cannot go ahead as planned due to the forecast of bad weather and the high risk of thunderstorms with hail. Under these conditions, the route to Avoriaz – which involves three cable cars across the mountain ridge – does not allow for a safe journey to and from the venue.
Instead of the stage in Avoriaz, Stage 5 will take place at the alternative venue in Morgins. This is a wonderful forest sprint stage which you can look forward to.

Start lists
The start lists for Stage 5 remain unchanged.
Car park/bus transport
To avoid parking congestion in Morgins, we ask participants staying in Châtel to carpool where possible (e.g. via the HitchHike app) or to cycle to the venue (same cycle park as for Stage 1). Alternatively, the shuttle in Châtel can be used free of charge before and after the race. For the awards ceremony in the evening, the shuttle will again be subject to a charge.
Bus tickets already booked for Stage 5 will be automatically refunded.
Competition Centre
The competition centre for Stage 5 is located at the Event Centre in Morgins. As space in the hall is limited, we ask all participants staying overnight in Morgins to come to the competition centre already changed from their accommodation and to return there directly after the race.
Important: You must pass through the checkpoint (see map) on your way to the start.
Childcare
The childcare facility is not located in the competition centre, as described in the programme booklet, but at the Hotel Victoria in Morgins.

Daily registrations
The entry fee for daily registrations for Stage 5 is now
CHF 15.- for those born between 2010 and 2020
CHF 25.- born 2006–2009
CHF 35.- born 2005 and earlier
Race maps for Avoriaz
The race maps for the originally planned 5th stage in Avoriaz can be collected from the competition centre on race day. Please follow the on-site signage.
