  1. The Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa is a multi-day orienteering event promoted internationally which combines holidays with sport and a dash of adventure. The Swiss O week is not only competition on highest technical level but also an experience for families, recreation, adventure and enjoyment in a Swiss top destination.
  1. These competition rules and the official Bulletin 1 published on site under are components of the contract between the organiser and the competitors when registering and is deemed a mutual agreement. These competition rules also apply when registration is done for somebody else or for additional (third party) persons. The organiser assumes that the third pary has granted permission to the person who is doing the registration. The organiser also assumes that consent has been granted by the legal representatives when registering under-age competitors through a third party.
  1. The competition rules also apply to daily registrations throughout the entire Swiss O Week.

Data protection

  1. Companies and persons working for the organisation and execution of the competitions, the processing of registration, the administration of competitors’ data, the collection of registration fees, the timekeeping, result service, participants’ advertisement and information for the Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa process the data on their behalf and for their purpose only. The Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa obliges these companies and persons not to use the data for their own purpose nor transmit them to third parties.
  1. The runner commits to provide personal data of third parties to the organiser only if they, or their legal representatives, know the applicable privacy policy and are also entitled to do so under data protection law. The organiser is allowed to ask the runner at any time to prove the existence of these conditions within a certain period of time - in particular the consent of third parties - and could otherwise withdraw from all contracts.
  1. The results may be published by the organiser on the internet with indication of first name, name, year of birth, place of residence, club, running time with lap times of control sequence, reason for non-classification or disqualification of the runner.
  1. Photos and film recordings in connection with the Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa may be used, disseminated and published without restrictions by the organiser without any claims for remuneration on TV, internet, in advertising means, magazines and books. The rights of image and sound belong exclusively to the organiser.


  1. The event will be held in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss orienteering federation (competition rules, "WO") and in accordance with Bulletin 1 and the categories listed therein.
  1. The provisions of the transport companies shall also apply (Arosa mountain railways, Arosa bus, Rhaetian Railway).


  1. Registration is done online. Entries without receipt of payment within 10 days will principally not be accepted.
  1. Any changes of registration can only be done online. Cancellation, changes of categories and passing on of a start place are regulated in Bulletin 1.
  1. A no-show at the start does not entitle the competitor to any claim of a refund of the entry fee.

Cancellation of the event

  1. No partial or complete refund of the entry fee can be granted automatically in case of cancellation of the entire or partial Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa events due to force majeure / acts of God, extraordinary risks, or official directives. Instead, the jury decides acccording to Swiss Orienteering competition rules Para 156.2. It will take into account the fault of the organizer, his financial situation and the damage suffered by the runners.


  1. Registration cancellations cost 10 % of the entry fee (based on 31 May 2021) when received by 31 May 2021, 30 % until received by 5 July 2021 plus possible bank fees. Afterwards no cancellations will be accepted.


  1. The organiser and partners decline any liability for the risks of runners of all kinds, especially health-related incidents. Participants are responsible to show-up at the start being well trained and physically fit.
  2. The organiser also declines any liability for all items being placed in the competition- and the event centres.


  1. Insurance is the responsibility of each participant.


  1. The organiser of the SOW 2021 Arosa is the association “Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa”. Information under:
  2. Place of jurisdiction is Chur.
  1. The organiser reserves the right to make changes.
