The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The Destination is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey.


By Rail

From the Berne region / Western and Northern Switzerland: A6 Berne-Spiez motorway: Wimmis exit. Follow the main road (Simmental valley) to Boltigen-Zweisimmen - Saanen-Gstaad.

From the Central Switzerland region: Lucerne-Brünigpass-Brienzwiler: A8 motorway to Interlaken: Follow the main road to Spiez: A6 motorway to Wimmis. Follow the main road (Simmental valley) to Boltigen-Zweisimmen - Saanen-Gstaad.

From the Valais region / Italy: A9 Sierre - Lausanne motorway: Aigle exit. Follow the main road to Col du Pillon-Gsteig-Gstaad.

From the Lausanne region / Western Switzerland: A9/A12 Lausanne-Vevey-Berne motorway: Bulle exit. Follow the main road to Château d'Oex-Saanen-Gstaad.


Travel by air

Via Zurich-Kloten: From Zurich-Kloten Airport, Gstaad can be reached in approximately 2.5 hours by car and 3:15 hours by rail.

Via Geneva-Cointrin: From Geneva-Cointrin, Gstaad can be reached in 2 hours by car and 3 hours by rail.

Via Saanen Airport: Air taxis connect Saanen Airport in the Destination Gstaad to many national and international destinations.


Parking

The parking spaces in the villages of Gstaad, Saanen, Schönried and Saanenmöser are managed by the municipality of Saanen or by Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG. With a few exceptions, you can use the ParkingPay App (www.parkingpay.ch) or SEPP App (www.sepp-parking.ch) to pay parking fees and access free parking.
